Privacy Policy
We take the protection of your personal data seriously. This policy explains what data we process when you use this website, on what basis, and the rights you have — under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

EU representative (GDPR Art. 27)
No representative in the Union pursuant to Art. 27 GDPR is currently designated. The operator is established in Switzerland, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of data protection (Art. 45 GDPR) — a recognition that concerns transfers of data and does not substitute for Art. 27. Users in the European Union can contact the controller directly, and data-protection requests are answered within 30 days:

What data we process
Server and access data
When you visit this website, our hosting provider automatically processes technical access data (such as your IP address, the requested page, browser type and time of access) in server log files. This is necessary to deliver the site securely and reliably, and is based on our legitimate interest in a stable, safe service. These logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (provided by Google Ireland Limited) to see which pages and languages are actually useful — for example how often an article is read and how often the Play Store link is clicked. We run it cookielessly: no cookies are set, no identifier is stored on or read from your device, and we do not build user profiles or recognise you on later visits or on other websites. Google uses your IP address solely to derive an approximate, country-level location and does not store it. Advertising features and Google Signals are switched off, and this data is never linked to your quiz answers. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in understanding and improving our own content (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, or overriding legitimate interest under the Swiss FADP); since nothing is stored on or read from your device, no consent is required. Google may process this data on servers in the USA on the basis of the EU standard contractual clauses. You can prevent this collection entirely by using a content blocker or your browser's tracking protection.
The preference quiz and special-category data
Our preference quiz asks about your intimate preferences. In plain language: because these answers can reveal information related to your sex life or sexual orientation, they are treated as “special category” personal data under Art. 9 GDPR and receive heightened protection. We only process this data on the basis of your explicit, separate consent, which you give specifically for the quiz and can withdraw at any time. Your quiz answers are encrypted, and you always control whether and with whom you share your results. Before you finish, you can optionally give a display name so you can tell whose answers are whose — a nickname works just as well, we never check it, and it is stored inside the same encryption as your answers and deleted with them.
Quiz data is retained for a maximum of 30 days and then deleted. If your partner never joins, your data is deleted even sooner — after 5 days — and the share link stops working, because answers about a person who never took part serve no purpose. You can request earlier deletion at any time (see “Erasure” below), for example using your quiz share-code.
Waiting list for the web version
If you ask to be told when the web version is ready, we store your email address, your language and the time you consented. This is kept completely separate from quiz data, on its own legal basis (your consent, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), and it is never linked to your quiz answers. We write to you exactly once, when the web version goes live. No newsletter, no advertising, and your address is never passed on.
You can remove yourself at any time using the unsubscribe link shown right after you sign up — it deletes your address, no account or email needed, so keep it. Otherwise your address is deleted 30 days after we send that one notification, and at the latest two years after you signed up if the web version never launches.
Records of Processing Activities (GDPR Art. 30)
We maintain a Record of Processing Activities in accordance with Art. 30 GDPR, documenting the purposes, categories of data, recipients, retention periods and safeguards for each processing activity described in this policy. This record is available to the competent supervisory authority on request.
Your rights
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have your data erased, to restrict or object to certain processing, and — where applicable under the GDPR — to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
How to request erasure
You can delete your quiz data yourself, immediately, using the tool below — just paste your quiz result or comparison link (or your share code). No account or email is needed, and it never affects your partner's own data. If you'd rather not use the tool, or have a different request, write to the contact address below instead. Either way: even if you do nothing, all quiz data is deleted automatically within 30 days regardless (see “Retention” above) — the tool below just lets you skip the wait.
