Welcome to the ForePlay Blog
Welcome. We're glad you're here.
This is the first post on the ForePlay blog, and it feels right to start by saying plainly what this space is for. ForePlay is an app for couples who want to rediscover each other — playfully, tenderly, and without embarrassment. This blog is the same idea in words: a place for honest, practical, judgment-free thinking about intimacy and connection.
Why we built ForePlay
Most couples don't drift apart because something is wrong. They drift because life is loud, days are full, and the conversations that once came easily start to feel like they need an appointment. Talking about what you want — in bed and out of it — can feel surprisingly hard, even with someone you love and trust completely.
ForePlay exists to make that easier. At its heart it's simple: playful prompts and gentle nudges that give you and your partner a low-pressure way to explore what you enjoy, to try something new, and to keep desire from quietly slipping down the to-do list. It's designed to feel like a game you play together, not a test either of you can fail.
What you'll find on this blog
We've organized what we write into four simple categories, and you'll see them across the site:
- Foreplay Tips — concrete, warm ideas for building anticipation and slowing down.
- Sex Tips — tasteful, practical thoughts on communication, curiosity, and trying new things together.
- Relationship — how to keep intimacy and connection alive across the long, busy years.
- News & App Updates — what's new in ForePlay, and the thinking behind it.
Every post is written with the same voice we try to bring to the app itself: warm, sex-positive, respectful, and genuinely useful. We won't be clinical, and we won't be crude. Intimacy deserves better than both.
The preference quiz
Alongside the app, you can take our preference quiz — a short, private way to discover what you and your partner each enjoy, and where your curiosities overlap. It's built to spark conversation rather than deliver a verdict, and your privacy is treated with the seriousness a topic this personal deserves. You're always in control of what you share and with whom.
A word on respect and privacy
Because we're writing about intimacy, we hold ourselves to a high standard. Everything here is meant for adults building consensual, caring relationships. We believe pleasure and respect are not in tension — they depend on each other. And because this subject is personal, we've designed both the app and this site to protect your privacy carefully. You can read exactly how in our privacy policy.
Come back often
We'll be adding new posts across all four categories, in every language ForePlay supports. Whether you've been together three months or thirty years, we hope you find something here worth bringing home tonight.
Thanks for reading — and welcome to ForePlay.
